Looking for care?
Dear Families,
Please be advised that the need for child care is extremely high. We are experiencing limited infant availability throughout the county. We recommend you ask about waitlists and welcome you to resubmit your form every few weeks, as provider availablity can change at any time.
What is a family child care provider?
Maryland licensed family child care, also known as family child care (FCC), is a regulated program that allows a provider to care for children in their home:
FCC is care provided to children 13 or younger at a place other than the child's residence.

Many programs are set up as learning environments and the space is designed with the children in mind! Most providers are early childhood educators spending countless hours researching, training and creating environments for the children to grow, learn and be successful.
We are required to complete First Aid, CPR, SIDS, Medication Administration training in addition to annual training in several content areas. Our homes are also inspected every year. The inspection is conducted by the state licensing department to ensure the safety of your child!
Please be sure that the provider you are contacting is licensed
and has a registration posted conspicuously.
The Calvert County Family Daycare Association will only connect you with licensed programs, however, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure the program's validity.
ALL CHILD CARE PROVIDERS IN OUR ASSOCIATION ARE REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED WITH THE MARYLAND STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S OFFICE OF CHILD CARE
